Achala is a kind, caring, and sympathetic GP who loves all facets of general practice.

Achala graduated from the University of Otago in New Zealand in 2011 and has been practising in Melbourne since 2016.

She gained a wealth of experience working in hospitals across NZ, yet what she enjoys most about being a GP is the emphasis on fostering relationships.

Achala loves seeing kids so much that she has gained additional qualifications with a Diploma in Child Health, which she was awarded with distinction.

She provides patients with shared pregnancy care and the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants, and she’s also a certified provider of medical pregnancy terminations.

She keeps busy outside work, playing the piano, staying fit, and gardening. Most importantly, Achala is on a serious mission to find Melbourne’s best gelato – results pending.
