Dr Natalie Fonda
FRACGP, MBBS, BEH (Paramedic), Grad Cert Sexual Health
Natalie began her medical career as an advanced life support paramedic with Ambulance Victoria.
Wanting to offer patients broader preventative healthcare, she decided to undertake a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Deakin University. After completing her studies, Natalie began hands-on medical training as a hospital intern at Alfred Health.
She went on to gain experience as a hospital resident in Queensland before completing her general practice training through James Cook University.
Now working back in Melbourne as a family GP, Natalie continues to fulfil her goal of providing ongoing patient care. She loves nurturing long-term relationships while practising sensible, evidence-based medicine.
Natalie enjoys all aspects of general practice, with special interests in:
- Sexual health
- Pregnancy planning and shared care
- Women’s health
- Child and youth health
- Minor surgery
She’s also a passionate medical educator. Natalie is a part-time teacher and tutor in Paramedicine Science, as well as a supervisor for training general practice registrars.
When it’s time to unwind, Natalie keeps active with cycling, swimming and hiking. She’s also a bit of a foodie and enjoys eating the delicious food her partner cooks (and she doesn’t mind doing the dishes afterwards).
