Dr Nicholas Oxenburgh
Dr Nicholas Oxenburgh
GENERAL PRACTITIONER
MD, FRACGP-RG
He/him
Nicholas is a warm, approachable GP who provides inclusive and compassionate care to people from all walks of life.
He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Queensland after first completing a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science at the Queensland University of Technology.
Nicholas enjoys getting to know his patients and building genuine, long-term relationships based on trust, respect and open communication.
He believes the best health outcomes come from working together, ensuring patients feel heard, supported, and confident to make informed decisions about their care.
His friendly, non-judgemental approach helps people feel comfortable discussing any aspect of their health.
A career highlight for Nicholas was spending more than two years caring for patients in rural Queensland and Aboriginal communities. Working in resource-limited settings with communities facing significant health inequities strengthened his commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based medicine.
This experience reinforced the importance of treating the whole person, not just their medical condition.
Whether you want to start gender-affirming care and hormone therapy, or are looking for sexual health care, preventive health advice, or ongoing support for a chronic condition, Nicholas is committed to helping you achieve your best possible health.
He’s also an accredited HIV s100 prescriber, providing patients with access to specialised medications as part of comprehensive, evidence-based HIV care.
Outside the clinic, Nicholas enjoys endurance sports and runs more than 30 kilometres each week. He also dabbles in triathlons; however, some have said that in the pool he’s like a fish out of water.
