Tasha’s favourite part of practising as a GP is nurturing lasting therapeutic relationships while providing patients with personalised healthcare.

After graduating from the University of Newcastle in 2015, Tasha practised at various hospitals across NSW and Victoria.

She completed her GP training in 2020.

Tasha has built a reputation for practising LGBTQIA+ health, including hormone replacement therapy for gender affirmation.

She values each person’s unique perspective on gender identity and has assisted many individuals in navigating the complex medical system.

Tasha also enjoys caring for children and young people. In 2019, she completed Advanced Rural Skills training in child and adolescent health. Her regional training gave her valuable experience in all-of-life care.

Tasha is an avid Western Bulldogs fan and a dedicated foodie. On weekends, you’ll find her at a footy match, farmer’s market, or trying out Melbourne’s latest restaurant.

Dr Tasha Patel’s special interests include:

• LGBTQIA+ health – including gender-affirming care* initiation and hormone therapy
• Women’s health
• Men’s health
• Sexual health (including PrEP)
• Kid’s health

* Tasha only initiates hormone therapy for gender affirmation in people over 18 years old.

Tasha is on maternity leave from Thursday, 24 September. She’ll be practising back at the clinic in the new year.
