We’re also frequently on the lookout for medical receptionists with experience in healthcare, ideally within a GP practice setting.

Our modern clinic is bright, colourful, and such a happy space for doctors, nurses, and receptionists alike.

Everyone loves working with Doctors of South Melbourne.

General Practitioners

We’d love to hear from you if you enjoy personalising patient care through practising evidence-based medicine.

A high staff-doctor ratio means you’ll be fully supported, freeing up your time to focus on good medicine. You can take comfort in knowing that an astute practice manager, reception + admin staff, and an excellent RN/EN nursing team have your back.

Pathology collection is onsite. We also have a well-established recall and reminder system.

We continue to maintain COVID-safe measures. We screen for symptoms, use HEPA filters throughout, and have a separate respiratory treatment room.

GPs regularly comment on the practice being one of the best work environments they’ve experienced. We invite you to speak with any of them.

If we sound like something you’d like to be part of, please call Dr Elaine Sung, Practice Principal, at (03) 8579 6838 for a confidential discussion. Alternatively, feel free to register your interest by completing the form below.

We’ll only seek a new doctor once the most recently engaged GP has a relatively full appointment book.

Medical Receptionists

With our rapidly growing clinic, full-time, part-time, and casual jobs become available regularly.

Supported by a brilliant practice manager and her close-knit team, you’ll be a customer service professional who takes pride in your work – all while showing a superhero level of empathy.

To be considered for a position, you must:

  • Hold a current Working with Children Check
  • Have a current First Aid Certificate (CPR)
  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen

In return, you’ll enjoy:

  • Working around your university, family, and lifestyle commitments
  • Professional development & career opportunities galore
  • Plenty of excellent lunch spots and shopping nearby

If you can handle busy situations with a smile and the patience of a saint, we’d love to hear from you.
