Blood Tests, Heart Monitoring, ECGs and More
A wide range of tests are performed onsite Monday to Friday 8:30 am-4:30 pm, and Saturdays 9:00 am-12:00 pm – no appointment is necessary. Though Medicare subsidises most tests, charges for other services such as ECGs and certain specialised tests apply.
If your GP feels you need a test collection taken, they’ll give you a form to hand to the pathology collection nurse. This form details all your testing requirements.
We’ll also tell you if you need to prepare for an upcoming test, including fasting or refraining from taking certain medications.
Results are usually available 2-3 days after collection. In some circumstances, your GP will send you an SMS if the results are normal.
In all other cases, you’ll need to make an appointment to discuss the results. This way, we can ensure a consistently high level of care.
