Testing is performed onsite Monday to Friday, 8.30am-12.30pm – no appointment is necessary. Though most tests are subsidised by Medicare, charges for other services such as ECGs and certain specialised tests apply.
If your GP feels you need a test collection taken, they’ll give you a form to hand to the pathology collection nurse. This form details all your testing requirements.
Your GP will also tell you if you need to do anything in preparation for testing, such as fasting or refraining from taking certain medications.
Results are usually available 2-3 days after collection. In some circumstances, your GP will send you an SMS if the results are normal.
In all other cases, you’ll need to make an appointment to talk through the results. This way, we can ensure a consistently high level of care.
