Vaccines at Doctors of South Melbourne
Vaccines keep us all safe, whether by protecting us during international travel, preventing your child from contracting whooping cough, or providing the herd immunity effects of the seasonal flu shot.
Our clinic stocks all childhood immunisations listed in the government-funded National Immunisation Program (NIP), as well as most vaccines required for travel or work.
Importantly, the doctors and nurses have a few tricks to distract children who are wary of needles (which also work on grown-ups).
We also stock private, non-government-funded vaccines sought after by the community, such as those for:
- Chickenpox
- Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B
- Measles
- Meningococcal disease
- Monkeypox
- Typhoid
- Whooping cough
- Yellow fever
Your GP will give you a prescription for any vaccines we don’t stock. Once the prescription is filled at your local pharmacy, our nurse can administer it. Examples include the rabies vaccines for travel.
