Ravi is a well-established clinician with over 20 years of experience as a doctor. He has special interests in:

Originally from the UK, Ravi worked as a GP for 12 years before moving to Melbourne in 2019. He practised in Southbank until mid-2024 when he joined Doctors of South Melbourne.

Ravi has a special interest in mental health. He offers focussed psychological strategies, including cognitive behavioural therapy for patients with a Mental Health Care Plan to treat conditions such as anxiety and depression.

He’s also skilled at supporting people who have questions about life’s purpose and spirituality or who are suffering grief and loss.

Adding to this, Ravi has experience with mindfulness and meditation.

Embracing his naturally friendly and informal manner, he ensures everyone who visits is heard, seen, and understood. His engaging approach does wonders in optimising patients’ emotional and physical well-being.

Ravi’s qualifications and formal training are as impressive as his clinical experience.

He studied medicine at the University of St Andrews in Scotland before completing his medical training at the University of Manchester.

Ravi initially trained as a physician and passed all parts of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) exams in 2006. While working in hospitals for many years, he honed his adult medicine skills in cardiology, respiratory, infectious diseases, oncology, and intensive care.

Ravi is also passionate about teaching medical students. He’s a senior lecturer in the General Practice Department at Monash University and teaches medical students from Notre Dame University at the practice.

Outside work, Ravi is big music fan and has followed bands like Radiohead and The Beautiful South for many years. He also plays the guitar and hopes to get on-stage again soon.

Dr Ravi expects to start practising at Doctors of South Melbourne in August 2024. You’ll be able to book an appointment with him in mid-late July.
